Hi,

I've had the Arlo Pro VMB4000 (not 3000 as the tag suggests, the 4000 option was not available) Base station + 3 camera package for 3 days now. Took me 4 hours to trouble shoot getting the base station to connect to the internet (I needed to open ports 80, 123 and 443).

Now I get 2 green status LEDs for both Power and Internet. I cannot however get any sort of activity on the Sync status light when I press the Sync button.

I have pressed the Sync button in all sorts of different combinations, as well as power cycling, soft resetting and hard resetting the base station.

I'm trying to resolve via live chat - but it isn't working for me currently. Does anyone have any suggestions - is there something else I need to do with the router that I'm not aware of?

A common mistake is holing the base syn button...

Reset the cameras by pulling and replacing the batteries.

Do a QUICK press on the base sync button, a sec or two later push the camera button

Slow blue to fast ble flashing led means a good sync and the Cameras LED light on base should go green too

Do one cam at a time , give a min or two between each

Thank you for that response TomMac,

Pressing the sync button (in any combination) does not get the Camera light to show. However, regardless I followed your steps (take battery out of camera, press sync button on base station, press sync button on camera).

The camera had steady blue flashing for at least 1 minute, followed by fast Ornage flashing (during which time, of course, the Base station camera sync light did nothing).

The only thing I can think of after is the hard reset ( which you said you did > holding in the RESET for about 10 sec till all the front Leds flashed amber )

And since it will not sync with any of your cameras.. I would guess maybe a hardware error.

Which would lead to contacting Netgear for warranty or returning the product to place of purchase

BTW, blue to amber means the sync failed
