Problems with my Arlo Pro Base connecting to internet. I had to replace my Netgear X10 with the same model replacement unit.
Once I replaced the router the base will not connect to internet no matter what troubleshooting steps I took even did a hard reset on base. Same issues with my Nest thermostat. Will not connect
Once I put the old router back they both connect with no issues. Seems to be a cloud thing not sure what else I should do. Is there somethig on the provider side that needs to be done like removing old router serial number etc?
Thanks

Hi Paul, Did you provide your ISP with the new serial number?

What are the LEDs on the base showing? I'll wager the Internet one is amber, meaning the base is connected to the router but not talking to the servers. That would imply a security setting in the router that's different, perhaps because of the firmware difference between the old and new router. Turn your old router on and connect it to a computer while viewing the new router on a different device. Go through the settings on both looking for differences.
I don't know that the ISP needs a router serial number but the modem has to be turned off and back on to allow the new router to be used bcause it would still be expecting th eold router's MAC address as the device that's connected.
