Arlo Pro Base Station Sync no longer working after update

Seems like the last update won't let the base station sync any more.
All resets, power ups cycle and all lights are on .... UNTIL you add the device in the desktop application.
After that, the sunc light goes out and the sync button on the base does nothing.

Dead as a doornail no matter how long or short you hold the button.

Cameras cannot see the base, as the base sync cannot be engaged.

Called netgear on this, wasted 2 hours of the same ol same ol ... they said they know of the problem ... they have a fix ... the fix is nothing anyone who can read hasn't tried .... now they are sending me a new base.

How much you wanna bet the new base will do the exact same thing?
This is getting real frustrating.

Sovled:

No help to Neatgear.

The sync will not work after the update UNTIL ........... you remove the batteries from all your cameras, then re-add the base to your devices ... then add back the batteries, then add the cameras.

Until you remove the camera batteries and reinstall, the sync button and Light will not work at all.
Until the batteries are removed and put back, the Base Sync Button and Sync light will not work.
