Arlo Pro Base Station Connection

Where I would like to install my Arlo Pro Base Station is 2 floors below where my modem & router is installed.  I have already run a ethernet Cat 6 cable down to a TV in that location.  I would like to add a splitter in that location that accepts one ethernet input cable and provides 4 output ports.  Then I can connect the TV and the Arlo Base Station to the splitter using 2 of the available ports.  Would the Arlo still be able to connect properly to the router, even thought it is going through a splitter?
