Background: I already have two original Arlo base stations. One base station (installed in our home) has four original Arlo cameras attached to it. The other base station (installed in a separate building within our WiFi network) has two original Arlo cameras attached to it. I would like to add one new Arlo PRO camera to EACH of our two driveway gates for establishing two-way conversations with guests outside our gates. Both driveway gates are adjacent to residential streets, which causes some occassional road noise.

Question: Any ideas as to how I could install one Arlo Pro camera at each of our driveway gates in a way that would allow us to have two-way conversations with people waiting outside our gates without the Arlo Pro sending us false alarms each time a car drove by our gates on the adjacent residential streets? I know other companies offer wireless video doorbell products with push buttons, but I prefer to use Arlo products and the Arlo iPhone app for all of our devices.

Any and all ideas are welcome! Thanks!

An add-on Arlo Pro camera will allow this if the camera won't be too far away from the base station. You would have to position the camera in such a way that it didn't give false alerts with people or vehicles passing by. Turn off the audio detection and just have motion detection. You'll be able to have a convo through the app

It's possible, but I really don't think it will work well for you .

To much street noise, false triggers and not loud enough if a person is in a car to converse
