Since the last Arlo Pro camera FW update (1.092.0.4_13099) the video quality is much better, no pixelation, no stuttring. But now I get notifications and some of them (2-3 times a day) there are no videos in the library. Any ideas or experiences?

Try power cycling the base.

It might be a server hiccup.. I get some notification delays on mine but I do get the videos .. Try going to your App or Web and restart the Base.. See if it helps a bit..
