Arlo Doorbell Gen2 no longer able to connect to base

Just a few days ago I was able to connect the Arlo Doorbell Gen2 to the base station. If I connect to Wifi, it drains the battery and I can't hard wire the **bleep**in' thing with a security bracket. So frustrating! They are strong arming into betting the plan.
