Ancillary motion detectors to turn on a camer

Are there any ARLO or other manufacturer products that will detect MOTION which in turn will activate and turn on a camera?  I have a setup wherein my camera placement is looking STRAIGHT ON where I am monitoring and I am experiencing the camera delaying turning on until the person is pretty much right on top of the camera.  I have found the camera's seem to trip easier with lateral (side to side) movement and they struggle to activate with motion coming straigt at them. 

I would like to place another device at a location that will pick up the lateral movement prior to the camera I want to monitor, and turn on the camera so I can see who is walking right at the camera.  I am already maxed out with camera's with 5 operating and the cost of adding a 6th camera at ($189.00 from Best Buy) and then a monthly fee to Arlo does not seem very attractive.

I was wondering if there are any ancillary devices that will talk to the Arlo Pro base that pick's up motion and will then activate a camera?  I realize I could move one of my other camera's to accomplish this but I don't want to make my coverage area vulnerable.

Any suggestions?
