ARLO PRO after going active stays on all the time

Hi,

 

I have installed ARLO PRO Camera with Arlo Battery charger connected all the time with the USB cable.

 

After setting up to active, the camera remains ON at all time. When the camera is in this "ON mode", you will see the amber led flashing when motion is detected, and when you try to see the Video via the "Camera Positioning" function, it will give you the message: "arlo pro camera your camera is currently in use. please wait until your camera has completed the action. you can also restart your camera if the problem persists." Additionally this issue drains the battery (with the battery charger connected).

 

The solution so far I am using, is disconnect the camera from the USB charger and remove the battery from the camera, wait 20 seconds and then place the battery, conncet the microUSB cable and then plug the Battery Charger to the AC Outlet. After this, I am able to see video on the "Camera Positioning" function and the amber led is off.

 

Any help with this issue will be appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure but it sounds like you're still using the positioning aid in Settings. Or are you just trying to check the system normally without ever going insto Settings?

 

One thing to try is to remove the camera from Settings, My Devices and resync. If the same thing happens, make sure all firmware is up to date. If that is so, open a case with support or swap at the store.
