connecting to wifi extender

wifi signal is weak out to garage and driveway I purchased a tp link re450 wifi extender but it can't find cameras

Is the SSID and password for the extender correct when trying to set up the camera? It may be different from your main WiFi (or not). If you bring the camera closer to your router can you connect it?
