i just bought the Arlo Pro 5S Outdoor Camera. I got a free trial for 30 days. what is that for? do I have to get a subscription for record videos?

Cloud Storage, Activity Zones when on battery power, and the AI features all require a subscription.

 

Do you have a VMB4540 or VMB5000 smarthub?  Either of those models would let you see locally stored stored videos w/o a subscription.  (There are limitations, so if you are interested in that please post back so we can give more details).
