Got new Pro 5s camera. No power adapter came with it even though support article says it is supposed to come with a 9v power adapter (and not to use a 5v adapter). Chat feature could not address this. Happen to anyone else or is the support article wrong.

The Arlo website support page specifically says that the Arlo Pro 5s comes with a 9v adapter for the power charging cord. I am looking at the website support page that I printed on this right now and that is what it says.
Please provide a link to that page.
No matter what you are seeing, the Pro 5s will charge with a 5v, 2a charger. It is compatible with all the Ultra accessories, and the indoor Ultra charger is 5v.

I want to know why no 9v power adapter was in the box when the website support page says there is supposed to be one.
Again, no idea what you are looking at.
"What's in the box" for the the one camera kit shows this ( https://www.arlo.com/en-us/cameras/pro/arlo-pro-5.html ) :
No charger is listed.

They sell both indoor and outdoor chargers.
Although this one says "cable", if you look at "what's in the box", you'll see it includes a power adapter.

What support article are you talking about? There are older models that require 9v but the Pro 5s is not one of those models.
The Pro 5s is compatible with the Ultra indoor charger, which is 5v.
It is also compatible with the Ultra Outdoor charger, which is 9v.

The Arlo website support page specifically says that the Arlo Pro 5s comes with a 9v adapter for the power charging cord. I am looking at the website support page that I printed on this right now and that is what it says. Mine did not include a 9v adapater and it's obvious there was nowhere in the box for an adapter. As is, I plug the UBC into my iMac computer to charge the camera. I want to know why no 9v power adapter was in the box when the website support page says there is supposed to be one. And I want to know whether Arlo sells an adapter or where I can get one. Amazon shows adapters that supposedly work for 5v, 8v, and 12v but I want to make sure I get one that works the Pro 5s configuration.

Here is the verbatim info from the Arlo support page when I asked about a wall charging adapter for the Arlo 5s Pro.
What power adapter can I use to charge my Arlo Pro or Arlo Go batteries?
This article applies to:
You must use the 9V power adapter and power adapter cable that came with your camera.
- A regular 5V Micro USB cable does not have high enough voltage to fully charge your Arlo Pro or Arlo Go camera.
- Use the 9V Arlo Pro power adapter and power adapter cable that came with your Arlo Pro system to charge your Arlo Pro battery.
- Use the 9V Arlo Go power adapter and power adapter cable that came with your Arlo Go camera to charge your Arlo Go battery.
Arlo Pro and Arlo Go power adapters are not interchangeable.
Qualcomm Quick Charge is a technology that lets rechargeable battery-operated electronic devices charge at a higher voltage to achieve faster charging speeds than traditional USB charging allows.
- Quick Charge technology only works if you use a compatible Quick Charge power adapter and power adapter cable.
- Arlo Pro and Arlo Go cameras use Quick Charge technology to help you charge your batteries faster and reduce camera downtime.

You're quoting information for VERY old cameras, not the Pro5s. Those cameras quoted used the Qualcomm Quick Charge capability that required a 9v output. The battery voltage was higher (7.2v, I think) than what a 5v charger could supply. The Por, Pro 2 and original Go cameras were the only ones that used batteries that required such a charger. All cameras since have used batteries that can be charged by a 5v charger.

This article applies to:
So this one:
@JamesC - this article is missing the VMC4030 and VML4030 links underneath "This article applies to". That should be corrected.
@SecureMind - As @jguerdat pointed out, the article you are quoting does not apply to your camera.
The KB articles that DO apply to your Pro 5s camera will have VMC4060P in the "applies to" list. That is the model number for the Pro 5s camera.
