I have tried to add a friend to my arlo but it still says pending on my account and will not accept them. Please can you advise

Have the friend click on "create account" in the invite email on a PC (NOT a phone or tablet).  That will open the browser to my.arlo.com.  From there they can either log into an existing account, or create a new one.  Note they do need to complete the two-factor authentication step on the PC.
