Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with two of my cameras that are connected to the Arlo Pro Smart Hub VMB4540-100NAS.
When I have them connected to my AT&T router, the cameras detect much more activity - but then of course I have to deal with IP addresses changes, cameras going out of range, live streaming not connecting all of the time, etc.
When I take the same two cameras and connect them to my Smart Hub, sometimes I can drive my car right by them and there is no detection from either camera (detection is poor and intermittent) - but then I don't have any connection issues like I do with my router.
I have another single camera connected to a different Smart Hub and all is well - it has good connectivity and movement detection.
I have already exchanged Smart Hubs so I know it's not a bad piece of equipment.
I also have the Smart Hub 12 feet or so from my AT&T router so I should be good there and live streaming is smooth,
Any insights / ideas would be most helpful and thank you, in advance, for your help!

Since your hub is a good distance from the router, try moving it some since the exact placement of the hub could be the issue.

Thank you jguerdat.
So you are thinking precise hub placement could be impeding better detection and notification by the connected cameras? Are you thinking they are possibly going in and out and and because of that they are missing events intermittently?

It's possible although not guaranteed. Nearby wireless devices could be interfering with the cameras' connection to the hub but it could also be something about the exact paths used for the connections with something in the house blocking the signal to some degree. Moving the hub is a lot easier than trying different locations for the cameras. I might start by placing the hub a few feet (2-4) away from the router to see if that makes any difference and go from there.
