I have just replaced aging Arlo Pro cameras with Arlo Pro 5 cameras and now have 2 cameras that are permanently offline when installed in the exact same position as their Arlo Pro forefathers.

 

Does this mean the Arlo Pro5 has inferior wifi range?

Well, it is different network hardware but some troubleshooting may help. Are the cameras connected to your WiFi or to your old base? Have you tried both?
