Looking to purchase this. After much googling I found out that this can or maybe cannot be paired with an

Arlo Essential 7.62m (25ft) Outdoor Magnetic Charging Cable. I really can’t find a concrete answer. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

both of these have the same Item No. VMA5700-100NAS

in one pic/website it’s described as magnetic, in the other they leave the word magnetic out.

need an outdoor camera, but don’t really want to change the batteries all the time. Would like to just have the battery plugged in all the time.  My old outdoor camera was plugged in, it was great. Until it broke.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting. The magnetic cables of any sort cannot be used with an Essential-anything camera.

Arlo Accessories for the Pro 5s camera are here:

The Essential cameras don't use magnetic cables, so there is no "Essential Outdoor Magnetic Charging Cable".  The Pro 5s is compatible with these outdoor chargers:

Arlo calls them "Cables", but the power adapter is integrated (and cannot be detached).

Oh Stephen, wherever did you find that! I looked all over the website and couldn’t find these. Thanks a bunch!

im looking to just keep the camera plugged in.  These will work for that, yes?

I went to the accessories page and then selected the Pro 5s camera on the left.

You do need to be careful to get the correct cable for your camera.

  • Essential Gen 1 cameras use a microUSB connector (VMA3700, VMA3701)
  • Essential Gen 2 cameras use a USB-C connector (VMA5700)
  • Pro 3, Pro 4, Pro 5S, Ultra use a proprietary magnetic connector (VMA5600C, VMA5601C)

Note Pro and Pro 2 cameras also use a microUSB connector, but they still do need a different cable (VMA4900) than the Essential Gen 1.

So if you have the Pro 5s, then the links I provided are the correct charger.
