sharing cameras and notifications

when you share cameras with someone, are they supposed to get the realtime notifications?  I shared 3 of mine with a family member and they are not getting alerts.  I even gave them the elevated rights to be able to change configuration parameters, but they are not notified if motion is detected.  is this normal?

There should be notifications. Have the guest check the phone settings for the app to ensure notifications are enabled.
