I have a two different cameras that stopped working suddenly on me. They both can connect to the base however they will not stream. I do see some images as thumbnails and will get alerts for movement detection however again, no streaming.

Have you rebooted the base? Is it actually a SmartHub (VMB4540 or 5000) rather than an older base station? Do you get recordings with the notifications?
