SLB1001 trying to connect it to my VMB4540

I have recently bought a SLB1001 and I’m trying to connect it to my 

VMB4540 base via my app but unable to connect, any thoughts please

That accessory is for the Arlo Home Security System ( https://www.arlo.com/en-us/security-system/arlo-security-system.html )  It doesn't connect to your smarthub.

Which is unfortunate, as I think it would be quite useful if it did.
