Range extender question

is there some kinda booster to make the camera reach the base station just a little further? and how do i know what model camera i have??

Unfortunately you can't extend/boost the base wifi.

Go into settings, and then select support.  After that select your camera, and scroll to the bottom.  You'll see a "Details" section that starts with the Product (which will start with VMC). 

Another way is to examine the camera.  If the battery is removable, open the housing and remove the battery.  There is a label inside.  If the battery is not removable, then you have an Essential.  There will be some printing on the rubber on the bottom that includes the VMC part number.  Hard to read, but there.

While there's no "booster" you can move the base to be closer to the camera (perhaps using a WiFi or powerline extender) or, if there's multiple cameras and the moving would cause a problem with other cameras, a second base so all cameras have optimal signal would be useful.
