Have you gone through the hub's settings in Local Storage, Storage Settings to enable and format the drive? Any errors or other issues seen? Are you using the app or the web client? Only the app is capable of viewing local recordings without ejecting the drive. Are you using your WiFi or cell service? The latter requires that you set up a VPN or port forwarding with your router to be able to view the recordings while away from the house. Lastly, if you eject the drive from the hub, do you see videos on the drive when connected to a computer?
Local recordings are always stored while cloud videos are stored relative to any settings you have configured in Smart Notifications.
