Hello.  I'm having difficulty getting the camera to link to my Wi-Fi.  Does not recognize the device/camera.  I contacted  Arlo support and got 2 return calls. The first saying they could fix the problem by doing a Network clean-up which would cost me $149.00.  This seemed excessive to me seeing how I just spent  $400 for 2 cameras.  The second person I spoke with said tech could assure that my Wifi was 2.4gz only but blocking the 5G (which I'm not sure I have) and no need for a network clean-up but this would cost me $49.  I do not feel I have to spend extra money for initial setup.  Any other recommendations?  I am considering returning the product for another brand.

You contacted a scam support site (likely you googled for a phone number).  Arlo won't have offered any "cleanup" or attempted to charge you.

That said, it is hard to reach a person at Arlo support when you have an on-boarding problem.

What router model do you have?

Is the camera chiming when you get to the QR code step?

Have you tried onboarding with both the app and a PC (browsing to my.arlo.com)?
