This Arlo system is starting to be more trouble than it's worth. After getting one camera a full time AC charger, and adding a Solar Panel to a second camera, I thought I had the "charging issues" solved. Arlo sucks battery power so fast it proves to most users that keeping cameras charged is the hardest part if owning this rather expensive system.
One camera in this three camera setup was left on battery, and when I went to plug in the ARLO charging adapter that CAME with my system I get an ERROR MESSAGE that a "non-arlo" power adapter was used, and the Camera itself asked for a factory reset. Really? And after I fixed that by running thru the camera setup again...the exact same thing happened.
So, I can swap batteries ok, but using the Factory Arlo short power cube & USB charge cord gave the exact same error, took the camera offline, and put it into a fault state that required another total reset, including battery removal.
I have the 3rd camera working now, hopefully it stays running but this seems like an Arlo charger compatibility issue, especially when's it's Arlo's own charger... what gives? I'm asking the community for help, but really expect ARLO TO STEP UP and fix this issue.
Please, Arlo...are you listening to your customers?

DougKumo,
Have you experienced this issue again since it happened the first time? Are you able to reproduce the issue?

James, after repeating it twice, and finally getting the camera back online, all appears stable. I've attached the charger a couple times, but no error. It's key to note that last time this happened the battery was low (43%) and the charger worked immediately. Now the battery is at 100%, so using the charger isn't exactly the same. I will revist this in a week or so, when the battery needs juice.
