Hello everyone. I've been scanning posts on here trying to get my schedule set up to a similar way I had it before the app change. I'm not having any luck so I figure I would post to get direct help setting it hopefully like I had it before. I have all my cameras active in both Arm Away and Arm Home, and nothing in Standby.
I believe I have Arrive/Leave set properly. For some reason this site is as glitchy as the app and I cant upload jpegs. It just comes up with an X. Anyways, how I have these set up is. All enabled>location set>anyone arrives/leaves>standby/arm away.
The schedules that I'm trying to achieve is as follows. Also utilizing Geofencing if I where to leave during the disarm time frame, I would want all to arm.
6pm, arm all outdoor cameras
8pm, arm indoor camera
4:30am, disarm indoor camera
6am, disarm all outdoor cameras
It doesn't seem that I can arm or disarm different groups of cameras like in the old app and its all or none. Some cameras I have on base stations and 2 (my doorbell and inside house) are standalone on the network).
Under Modes I have the following.
Arm Away- all cameras active. All schedules and arrive/leave enabled
Arm Home- all cameras active. All schedules and arrive/leave enabled
Standby- no cameras. All schedules and arrive/leave enabled
What I've been able to accomplish since I have the new app downloaded is to arm all the cameras at 6pm and disarm at 4:30am, thats it.. It doesnt work for my needs so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Rename the .jpeg to .jpg - for some reason, Arlo doesn't allow the former.
It appears that you would want to edit Arm Home to remove the indoor camera so you can schedule that at 6PM and 4:30AM (only outdoor cameras active at those times). At 8PM, you would schedule Arm Away so all cameras are Armed. At 6AM, the last schedule would be to switch to Standby.
6pm, arm all outdoor cameras - Arm Home
8pm, arm indoor camera - Arm Away
4:30am, disarm indoor camera - Arm Home
6am, disarm all outdoor cameras - Standby
Geofencing will be an issue since the schedule will override the GF settings. It works until the morning when the schedule switches to Arm Home. @StephenB has a solution to that which involves not scheduling Arm Away, which would only be used for GF but you need all 3 modes to schedule as you wish. You may want to consider your arming priorities so that can happen but that's a personal choice. I have the same issue as you so I just wake up in the morning while away and manually switch modes to Arm Away to get the coverage I desire. Until custom modes are made available I don't think there's any other way to solve this.

Ahh, Thank you for that info on the .jpeg vs. jpg. I'll try that if more pictures are needed.
I've set my schedule up the way you mentioned and will give it a try tonight to see how it does. The one question I have is; I have that inside camera also active in Arm Home, so wont that activate regardless at 6pm? Should I remove the inside camera from the Arm Home mode?
I just dont understand why the developers over complicated the scheduling system. It could be so much more simple and user friendly.

Yes, remove that rule for the indoor camera from Arm Home.
I used the old system for years and was mildly irritated by the need to stop at midnight and start a fresh schedule for the same mode. Many others had to be informed of that need, as well, creating something of a support issue. Is the new method "better"? YMMV.

Ah yes! I know what your saying.. I could at least figure out that one somewhat simply LOL
I did remove the Inside camera from Arm Home.
I was also looking at Arm Away mode and thought it was best to disable all schedules except for the 8pm one where I change the mode to Arm Away. (Sorry .jpg is also not working for the pictures. I've tried both .jpg and .jpeg. Still get the X for both pictures.

Watch for trailing spaces in the filename when renaming. Jpgs are what I use all the time.
I'd suggest NOT disabling anything in your schedule or modes/rules unless running into a problem. My biggest issue with doing that is that that isn't documented anyplace I know of so many cause their own issues. I've tried doing that at various times with no actual success...

Thank you again!
I put everything back to the way it was. I'll see how this works this evening.
