My cameraes wont record to my hub

hi, I just bought a new pro 4 camera and smarthub. I already have 1 pro 4, Wireless doorbell, and an essential spotlight, all have gone to cloud storage and worked perfectly. but now that I've disconnected them from wifi and connected them to the hub, they don't want to save any videos anymore... get a notification that there is movement registered and nothing is saved, the usb stick is 16Gb and the format. I added a pro 2 right here and there the videos are saved on the memory stick. the smart hub is VMB4540r4 all cameras are updated to the latest hardware. and fully charged and has good coverage

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Did you drop the subscription?

 

If not, are the cameras still in your subscription plan?

The Pro 2 has 7-day free cloud storage (unlike the other cameras you list).  Have you ejected the USB stick from the app, and examined it on a PC?  That would let us know whether you have a storage problem or a playback problem.

 

Do you see "Library" in your app menu?  Or do you instead see "Feed" and "Dashboard"?

I have now checked the usb stick and see that the videos are saved there. 2 all cameras are reset to factory settings before they were reconnected to the hub. but I get feed inside the app not the library

What model hub do you have (look for a VMBxxxx label on it).

 

Also try 

  • going to the devices page
  • selecting the base
  • selecting "Storage Settings"

and see if there are any recordings shown on that page.

Hi @StephenB No one off my recordings from the x2 pro 4 and essential spotlight XL when i go in to the storage settings. 

Local storage is on. 

 

The hub is a VMB4540

 

(Just for info) 

I Allso just purtches a new microSDXC UHS-I card with us 3.0 Reader. It is a Samsung Pro Plus 256GB 

Read speed 180MB/s

Write speed 130MB/s 

A2 V30 4K Ultra HD 

it is also formatted and inserted into the hub.

 

I have also tried re-synchronizing the cameras to the hub to see if that was the solution. but nothing helped.

 

I borrowed an arlo Pro 2 camera and now that it is synchronized to the hub, I can access the feed and get videos from it.

also I don't get portforword or directly see the button when I go into storage.

Are you saying this is missing when you

  1. navigate to the devices page
  2. select the base
  3. select Storage Settings
  4. select Local Storage Settings?

Hi @StephenB 

yes I just find that I can enable local storage and storage setting. when i press storage settings it comes up

1. usb device 1 ready

2. available storage space

3. record with maximum image quality

4. automatically exceeds

You should be seeing something like this:

Can you double-check that you have a VMB4540 (and not a VMB4500)?

@StephenB tryed to reinnstall the app dosent work.  Same outcome.

You should be seeing the direct storage access settings on this page.

 

I'm tagging the mods - @BrookeN , @JamesC , @ShayneS - in hopes they have a suggestion for a next step.
