Hi All,
I've searched the forums and noticed back in 2023, Arlo users were experiencing battery drain after the latest firmware update... Fortunately that particular update didn't affect my cameras. But fast forward to August 2024 with the latest firmware update, I've been noticing that one of my cameras that received the update the battery life had dropped significantly. Usually it would last 1.5 weeks before needing a fresh battery. But now it's only lasting around 4-5 days.
I also tried doing a factory reset.. Removed my device from my account... And resynced it back. I am still noticing considerable battery drain... But I've read on here that I should revert back to the previous firmware and that should fix the battery drain issue.
Does anyone know how to do that? Or is anyone dealing with the same problem as me and has a fix to the problem?
TIA.

You can't revert firmware updates. However, if you have multiple cameras, swap them around to see if the issue follows the camera or stays with the location.

I have two Arlo Pro 4 installed. Only one of the two cameras received the firmware update. And now the one that is having considerable battery drain is the one with the new firmware..
Also I've noticed today 9/10/2024 (4pm) my recordings have been super laggy and randomly recording when it detects motion. For example, 3 people opens the door on different occurrences , usually the camera would start recording within 1 second of it detecting motion... Now it might not record the 1st person that opened the door... But it may record the 2nd person but maybe 5 secs after the camera had detected motion... And the 3rd person opening the door, it would record as it normally would, within 1 second of the camera detecting motion....

Did you try swapping cameras? That would help identify whether it's a camera issue. If so, use the app to go to Settings, Support and choose your camera. Scroll down to Contacts to see what official support may offer, including an RMA.
