These cameras simply cannot be found. I've reset my Netgear Nighthawk M1 to 2.4GHz. My iPhone 8 can't find them and neither can my browser, the latest Mozilla firefox. At first the hub appeared only on the browser but it does now appear on the phone but cameras will still not connect or be found. I've run the batteries flat on each of the three cameras trying to find them.
Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

I doubt that you have read my posts properly. The initial problem of not synching cameras to smart hub was solved way back up there simply by removing the battery from my Netgear Nighthawk and running it on direct power supply.
All of that works but I cannot use my free trial and I cannot get a plan.
I was told by a helpful neighbour who does have a plan that I must have been diddled by the retail store because I apparently do need to have a subscription. I tried that too but Arlo wants a credit card which I don't actually have.
I would like to know how to get the plan if I need one to start working now. Maybe I should cut all of that from the initial discussion and open a new thread?

I believe that I should have closed this thread when I initially fixed the original problem by bypassing the battery in my router.

From the screenshots provided it does show that you have a trial started that is good tell December of 2023. So you should not need to order anything until that point in time when the trial expires. Also, with having the SmartHub I have sent you a link on how to set that up to format the local storage.
How do I format local storage using my Arlo SmartHub, Arlo Base Station, or Arlo Camera?

Thanks for your continuing interest in assisting me. Yes. I've read and re-read this document numerous times and have done and repeated all the steps mentioned in the article.
I've tried formatting again this morning but get this.
Yes I have a free trial that is slowly being used up timewise without ever actually being usable yet.
The cameras only play when I press play. They do nothing else? They show a static image otherwise. They do not respond when I walk past them.

When the site doesn't time out before the formatting is finished, I get this in storage settings.
However, that is what I've always had. 0.00TB used of, is all I've ever had. So nothing is being stored. The cameras will not record. From the many documents I've read, this implies that I do not have A PLAN and this was also in previous images I've shown here. Also from my reading, this implies that I have to buy a subscription. I've tried this also, even though I was assured when I purchased the product, that I would not need this if I purchased the smart hub. However, I could not prchase a subscription anyway because I only have a debit card.

Do you have routines set? Also, are you on Arm home or on Standby? You have to place the cameras with rules in those sections and what type of notifications you want for each camera.
The routine button should be on the bottom right of the app. Would you mind double checking that?

Under Armhome, click on each camera under that section and set the rules. There will be different choices that you can pick.

This is what I now see in the bottom right corner. Previously, the ones in this image were dimmed. I assume that the far right one, indicates that I have a storage device that is ready. However, it still hasn't recorded even a birdsong.

The camera I am looking at by pressing play is fine view for a short period but constantly blinks afterwards..

I checked feed events and I did have some audio feeds which were birdsongs from today and after I looked at one, all the others disappeared.

The pictures you sent are how they are supposed to look. Try setting up rules as well and set the notifications for each camera that you have as you want it. And then let me know how that goes.

I'm now getting phone notifications every time a bird sings close to a camera but as yet no video recordings of movement or any action.
Also, every time I try to post a message on this forum, I'm getting;
"Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."

computer. I have not tried to message this forum with a phone. The coomputer is a Mac the browser is Firefox and having said that, this may be due to a recently added extension to firefox. I can check that by turning it off.

OK, I will have to somehow tune down the notifications while at home because the phone is constantly pinging and I am also getting a string of emails I'll have to delete.
Because I am an avid gardener and environmental regenerator, I have lots of resident bird species and these are not enemies or trespassers. 😉
Still not recording video on the extension as far as I can tell. 0.00 bytes used so far.
