Cannot view shared cameras

I read other posts but nothing fixes this issue. The problem started when I was forced to update the Arlo app to the new version.

 

Issue is that I can no longer see shared cameras.

 

Has anyone experienced the same issue after updating the app?

This has been a common issue for the last 12months when arlo introduced the new user interface for the arlo app.

 

Any new arlo accounts are forced to use the new UI interface which is not compatible with the older UI accounts.

 

 If you upgraded your account to use the newer UI then you will loose sharing access with other accounts using the older UI.

 

The only way to move forward is for all sharing users to upgrade to using the new UI.

 

Warning: Once an account has been updated, arlo will not let it be reverted so you are stuck. The new UI experience may not be that user friendly.

Wow… I guess Arlo really messed this up…

 

Time to switch to their competitor!

Agreed.

 

The workaround is to migrate all accounts (primary and shared friend accounts) to "feed".

 

Do that by logging into the account, and then going into "add device" and starting to add a Pro 5s camera.  Obviously you can't finish that process, unless you have that camera.  But the workflow will migrate the account to feed.
