Can I not leave the spotlight on continuously when I have CVR?

The picture is so much better and it is obviously on AC power so why can't I leave the spotlight on all the time?  I can't use the motion recordings with CVR because it doesn't record half the time and when it does record it misses half or all of the motion, not to mention the blur for 2 seconds while the spotlight flashes on. I can't watch live feed with the spotlight on and everything is very clear.  I need the spotlight on 24/7 with the CVR.
