I recently within the last 2 months purchased 2 of the arlo pro 4 cameras, today the free trial ended and now my cameras do still notify me with a beep they do not appear to record that motion. My question is do i have to purchase a subscription for them to now record the motion? And also now it tells me to plug it into the AC to be able to do certain things on the camera such as activity zones, etc. My cameras are connected through wifi and powered by solar, so why does it say this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Any camera newer than the Pro 2 requires a subscription for cloud recordings as well as certain features such as activity zones without being connected to AC power (with a sub the servers process the zone but without a sub the camera has to do it so AC power must be applied). Solar panels aren't the same thing as AC power since they are trickle chargers and can't power the camera.
