What are widgets and do I need to set them up?

Widgets are simply various thumbnails similar to what you see in Devices but usually have a variety of choices for size or info. You can use this to minimize the devices displayed or for other purposes of your own choosing. Adding at least one will get rid of the prompt to add some.
