Hello,  I was wondering if anybody had a problem charging their XL batteries? I bought two of them about two months ago, directly from Arlo. I am charging them in the recharging cradle that came with the pro 4 cameras from Costco.  When the light turns green indicating they are ready and I put them in my camera, I have never gotten a higher read out then 97% charged. Any idea why they will not charge to 100%?

I suppose there's a difference in how the camera reads the battery level vs. the charger but don't know how to verify that. When you install them in a camera, try connecting the wall AC charger that came with the cameras to see if that will increase the battery level.

OK, thanks for posting. So that is the magnetic charger that came with it? I don’t remember if that’s the one you’re talking about. The magnet attaches at the bottom of the camera and then there’s a wire that connects to a transformer that you plug-in?

Yup, that's the one. Just trying to compare charging the battery while in  the camera vs. the external charger.

OK I’ll give it a shot this weekend and will post back here with the results.

This isn't something I would worry about. The charge level being reported is just an estimate.  Undercharging slightly is actually better for battery life than overcharging.

How long are the batteries lasting between charges?

OK thanks I guess that makes sense. Just weird because I do have one pro three camera in my set up. That one always charges to 100%. But anyway, it’s like you said, guess it’s just an estimate.

I would say I’m charging about every 90 days or so.  I have the settings to record motion up to 300 seconds in the recording settings.  So, I do get some videos that are a few minutes long sometimes.
