I currently have 10 arlo camera's (a variety of Pro 4 and Pro 3) recording to a local VMB4540r3 with a 2TB USB drive attached.  6 of the cameras were added in the last two months (2 packs of 3 at different times). All the devices are sync'd correctly with the local hub and the hub has record locally turned on deleting old videos as new are added.

All the cameras record correctly except one.  That single camera does not record correctly locally or to the cloud. when setting up one of the cameras, I accidentally turned on live streaming for about 3 minutes before I turned it off.  I am suspecting the camera not recording is the one.

When I check the camera in the "mode" settings, it shows the rule for the camera is "when motion is detected" then do the following "Record Video" but there is a circled exclamation point which indicates the "video clips or snapshots will be stored in the usb device".  but there are no recordings.  as problem resolution I have reset the video settings for the camera (I read one support note that indicated turning offi live streaming does not turn off 4k recording, but there was no info on how to turn off 4k recording) removed the camera from the hub, Reset the hub then factory reset the camera and readded the camera. No change.

All the rest of the 9 cameras are working fine and recording ....   Anyone have any helpful tips that can help me correct this?

Thanks

If the problem camera in a subscription plan?

Can you try moving the camera close to the smarthub (in the same room, around 6-10 feet away), and see if that makes any difference?

One of my wireless cameras also stopped working. I “added” it as a new device and went through the many steps do that Arlo would accept it. Arlo accepted it but it would not record.
I did this over and over again.
I happened to access the “Routines” menu and saw “Standby” as being active. I don’t recall selecting this mode as it’s been almost a year since I did this.
I went into this mode and saw that the camera that did not record was not armed.
A few days ago we had thunderstorms and I believe this mode disarmed that camera as well as made “Standby” the selected mode.
camera now records.
