THIS IS A HIGH RISK RECOMMENDATION (essentially, a REQUIREMENT)

Arlo presents themselves as a Security Tool but does not offer an option to distinguish their app notifications from the plethora of other apps that are not nearly as critical that use the default notifications tone.

Arlo needs to update their Android (and iPhone?) app to provide an alert tone that is unique and manageable. This will allow users to be properly alerted when security notifications are coming from camera alerts.

ALL ARLO USERS SHOULD HIT SUPPORT AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE THIS SUGGESTION AS A HIGH PRIORITY TO ARLO MANAGEMENT.

The process is a little longer than that, but thank you for at least leading me to mess with options to get there.

Correct process:

Settings

Notifications

Click Arlo

click Notification Categories

Click Notifications (separate selection here)

at the bottom of the page, click Sound

change from default sound to selected sound (SecSoundPicker)

you must use the process to select a locally downloaded sound (again, SecSoundPicker on Android)

THIS IS  HIGH RISK CONDITION. MY INSURANCE COMPANY INDICATES THERE IS [potential legal] RESPONSIBILITY ON ARLO TO PROVIDE THIS

On android devices, you can manage your Arlo notification sounds by navigating to Settings > Notifications. From here you will be directed to your mobile devices notification settings for the Arlo mobile app and you can adjust the Alert tone for Arlo notifications.
