I have 4 cameras connected to my hub model VMB4000r3.  All devices have up to date firmware and the hub firmware is up to date as well. My iOS app is current. I can connect to all the devices and turn on the cameras to see live video. I have configured my hub to record locally and I have confirmed all cameras are armed and can detect motion.  Two of my cameras record locally and two do not record anything. The two devices that don’t record are detecting motion and the Armed script assigned to the cameras is configured to record when motion is detected.  All cameras have an Armed configuration script for that camera and each is identical. I tried reinstalling the cameras but that did not help. I updated the Armed script for one camera that doesn’t record to also record for one of the cameras that work.  When I walked in front of that camera the motion was detected and the other camera recorded but the 1st camera did not record.

The VMB4000 supports local recording, but it does NOT support playback. The only way to see local recordings with that base is to eject the storage, and then connect to a PC (browsing it with file explorer or finder).

Any recordings you are seeing in the app are being retrieved from the Arlo Cloud.  Either the cameras are legacy (for instance Pro 2), which were sold with free 7-day cloud storage - or they are in a subscription plan.

Can you check the model of the cameras that do record?  And also double-check the subscription status?
