Port forwarding needed to do direct access without VPN, it works when I assign port on my router but when the Arlo app closes and restart it stop working. Re assign a new port and it will work until I close the app on my phone. I am running the latest version of app and firmware for everything.

FYI, when I bought it I believed the cloud keeps 7 days after 1 year. I'm not sure where I read it and believed like this. 😞
I believe previous models when subscription run out it will move to 7 days cloud service. Not with the pro 3 and I would pay the subs if it is a bit cheaper, 3 cameras subscription all adds up to a hefty bill year on year
The newer cams Pro3 and up need a subscription for cloud storage. But you get a 3 month trial. You can still use local with out one. The free 7 day were for Pro2 and older. I don't use port forwarding so cant comment on that.
