I have my pro 3 freestanding and when i use the solar panel it wont mount flat it just rolls over I used the magnet mount that helps but it wont stay on over the charging port only to the rear and makes camera face higher. Not a big deal but any one have any experience with this or a suggestion.

You could try putting the camera upside down (with the mount underneath). Then invert the camera view in the settings. Motion detection might not work as well (since it is optimized for the bottom of the field of view).
Personally I wouldn't put my own camera free-standing outdoors.

Thanks I'm not worried about someone taking them as i'm way back off road. I think the top is more rounded but i may try it. Even if u would use ac cable inside its the same freestanding issue. I thought this may be a issue as i order it but i can live with magnetic mount making face a little higher by having to put it more to the rear.

I agree. I do have an indoor Pro2 that is freestanding at the moment (but with no cable). That wouldn't work with the Pro3 or Ultra unless you have it on a mount or an improvised cradle.

Yea if it the cable connect end was more flush on 3 and ultra it would not be a problem.
