Hi everyone,
Before I buy another add-on camera (Arlo Pro 3) for my current Arlo Pro system (VMB4000 base with 4 Arlo Pro cameras), could anyone tell me if adding a Pro 3 will require me to move to a paid cloud storage subscription? The purchase will mean a total of 5 cameras but I only want to use the Pro 3 for local recordings (it's for the nursery to video what bub gets up to at night; we have a separate baby monitor already) so don't need cloud storage for the new camera but want to keep free 7 day cloud storage for the original 4 cameras I have. Has anyone successfully mixed a new Pro 3 add-on with a legacy base and kept their free cloud storage for the legacy cameras?
Many thanks!
Mabsy

mabsy,
Yes, you can sync a Pro 3 camera to your VMB4000 base station, but you will need an Arlo Smart subscription for the Pro 3 camera to save recordings to the Arlo Cloud.

The free 7 day cloud recording is only available for the older Pro 2 and down cameras. The video doorbell, Pro 3 and Ultras all require a subscription for cloud recording. You can use a VMB4540 or 5000 hub to record locally and use the app to see those recordings without having to eject the card/drive.

Thank you, so sounds like I will still have 7 days free cloud for all my other cameras then, just not the Pro 3. Also, the VNB4000 hub works ok with the Pro 3, right?
Thanks again!
