Unable to retrieve base station recordings

In the absence of actually being able to speak to anyone at Arlo support, reaching out to see if anyone can help.
We’ve had some damage to the outside of our home. Trying to retrieve recording from my pro 3 camera. Linked to base station, fully operational USB. No recordings!
Is there any way miraculously to retrieve the footage? Does arlo have it on a back up server anywhere?
I have now been resigned myself to the fact that I’ll need a paid subscription moving forward whilst I look for an alternative provider as this is very painful!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What model base do you have?
Did you eject the USB storage from the app, and connect it to a PC?

Local recordings are just that - purely local. Arlo never had them.
