Pairing ultra cam to New smarthub for pro 3

I have  2 Ultra cameras and just purchased Arlo pro 3. 1 of my Ulras is closer to the new pro 3 smarthub which looks just like the ultra hub. Can I pair the Ultra to the new smarthub from pro 3 for a better connection.

Yes, you should be able to do that.

As clarification, Arlo Wire-free, Pro, Pro 2, Pro 3 and Ultra cameras can be synced to VMB4540 and VMB5000 SmartHubs. This will allow you to pair an Ultra camera with your VMB4540 SmartHub that came with your Pro 3 kit to maximize performance based on the VMB4540 location.

Note that the VMB4500 only does 2.4 ghz, so the Ultra will connect on that band.

However, if it's not close to the base it should be doing that anyway.

Not sure that you will get a "better" connection.

It isn't just the absence of 5 GHz. In comparison with the Pro 3 hub, my Ultra cameras do better on the Ultra hub when it comes to range.  Not a lot in it. But don't expect the earth.
