Magnetic Mounting of Arlo Pro 3

I am considering purchasing the Arlo Pro 3 camera system. I currently have the Arlo Pro and did not use a mount for the cameras - just attached the camera with the magnetic back to a metal door frame and outdoor light fixture because the stucco on the house is too difficult to screw a mount into.  My question is will this be possible to do with the Arlo Pro 3 or do you have to attach the magnetic mount?

Pro 3 magnetic mounts have to be screwed to a surface.

The mount is the magnetic bit, not the camera.

The older cameras had the magnets in the camera, Arlo,Pro,Pro2

so it was possible but not with newer cams
