You should be careful on the terminology when you talk with support, since using "Armed/Disarmed" and "On/Off" interchangeably creates confusion.
"Armed" is NOT the same as "On", and "Disarmed" is NOT the same as "Off". When you select "Armed", only the cameras that are on will be armed. The others remain off. When you select "Disarmed', only the cameras that are on will be disarmed. And they will still show up as "On" in the settings.
The way to tell that whether a camera that is on is armed (or not) is to walk in front of it, and see if you get a notification or a recording.

Are you using the primary account?
Or are you using a "friend" account (where the camera access has been shared with you)?

I am using one account and that is the one with my name and email. This is the primary account. There is no other account associated with the Arlo System I have.

I received a No Reply Message today. Still not have corrected the problem of Arm Disarm all cameras when clicking on MODE. I can only Arm Disarm EACH camera when in Settings.
Below this is the No Reply Message I received. Cannot Arlo provide a specific fix for this problem?

No, I have not received an answer how to fix this problem.
The last email from Arlo asked this...
Are you using the primary account?
Or are you using a "friend" account (where the camera access has been shared with you)?
I answered I am the primary account and no one, friend or anyone else, access my Arlo system.

Yes, when I go to Library and then to Home Base Station, I can see motion on any camera I have individually Armed in Settings.

I have five cameras. Three are Arlo Pro 3 cameras and two Arlo Pro 4 cameras all connected using the Arlo Pro 3 Home Base Station.

Ok. When you say you are arming/disarming them in the settings, do you mean you are turning the cameras on and off? (There is no "arm/disarm" in the video settings).
It sounds like if you just use the disarm mode, you are still getting notifications and local recordings from all the cameras - is that the issue?

Your reply... Ok. When you say you are arming/disarming them in the settings, do you mean you are turning the cameras on and off? (There is no "arm/disarm" in the video settings).
My reply... I can ONLY Arm and Disarm EACH camera individually from Settings at the top right hand corner of the display. If there is motion, then the individual camera records it and I can view it Library and Home Base Station.
After I go to Settings and Arm one, or more or all cameras , when I go to Mode and tap on Disarm All Devices, at the bottom of the screen it tells me, All Devices Are Disarmed. But they are not Disarmed. Motion is still being detected. I have to go back to Settings and individually Disarm each camera. I do this by tapping Settings, then tap each camera and across from Device ON, slide the green dot to the left. Then Device Off is shown. This is the ONLY way I can turn off and turn on a camera. When I turn a camera Off, no motion is detected.
I do not know what you mean by Arm Disarm is for Video Settings. When I Log In, the first screen that appears is a picture of all five of my cameras and whether they are Armed or Disarmed. At the top of that screen are three vertical dots. When I tap on the dots, it shows Settings and underneath that, Log Out. This is the Settings I use to Arm or Disarm each camera. This is the Only way I can Arm and Disarm cameras.
Your reply ... It sounds like if you just use the disarm mode, you are still getting notifications and local recordings from all the cameras - is that the issue?
My reply ...No.

We can help you understand how to create custom modes to arm/disarm groups of cameras. But first, I think we need to make sure your system is working ok.
First you say:

Then you say

This is contradictory. After you set the mode to disarm, the cameras shouldn't record or notify you until you set the mode back to armed. So I am confused.

And what happens if you go to the modes page, and select "Disarm"?

This is what I have been telling Arlo the past weeks. I can Arm and Disarm each camera Only when I tap on Settings. When I go to Mode and tap on it, Tapping Arm or Disarm does nothing. Tap in Arm All in Mode, at the bottom of the screen it shows me a green rectangle background with the words, All Devices Are Armed. But they not. When I go to Settings, the cameras are not Armed. When I Arm each camera individually and then go back to Mode and tap Disarm, they are Not Disarmed. I have to back to Settings to Disarm each camera individually.
