I am contemplating buying a two camera system for my apartment. I want to try to conceal the cameras as best I can.
How does the night vision work? Is it infrared or does in turn on a spotlight?

I have the Pro 3 and you can choose. You can either use infrared night vision or have the camera turn on a spotlight upon motion. You get color with the spot but the night vision is very sharp. As well as capturing color video, the spot can act as a deterrent. I turnrd off the spot on my porch because I did not want it coming on ever time I moved on the porch at night.

As mentioned some of the newer cams also have normal lights in them… but as to the IR, it is at 850nm and during use you can see a slight red glow from the ir leds on the cameras, otherwise ( like from side ) it is not visible
