Future Availability of Direct Storage Access VMB4000

I added some Pro 3 cameras to my setup.  Does anyone know if Arlo is going to add the VMB4000 to work with direct storage access?  I don't really want to buy a new base or pay for a subscription.  Arlo is really blowing it with these features, why are they not standard on all base stations?

At this time, Direct Storage Access requires a SmartHub. For more information on this, take a look here: What is Direct Storage Access and how do I use it?

There are no plans to add this feature to base stations.
