Date/Time no longer visible on recording

My records used to display the date/time but now only a solid (white) bar on top of the screen.  Is there a setting that needs changed?

I recently installed the arlo app onto a android phone and see the same problem when rotating the phone .edit.

 

I decided to go back to using my iPhone instead.
