ARLO sent me a solution to the sound notification problem which does not work, in fact it made matters worse. I suspect they did not test their solution in the real world. Here was my response to them:
None of this fixed the sound notification, rather now all sound is muted (mute setting is off, notification setting is on) and even my Apple watch does not get the slight tap now. I am looking for a loud audible persistent sound as before iOS 17 update.
I appreciate your suggestion but I sincerely doubt you tried this in a real environment. Please test all your fixes on a loud busy street corner with your iPhone in your pocket. That will be the true test if you have solved the problem.
I followed these steps it made the problem worse:
1. Make sure you have the 4.0 Arlo App. ( the APP version is 4.1)
2. Tap on Add New Device. (Done)
3. Select Security System. (Done)
4. Go through the carousel. (Done)
5. Tap on Start Upgrade. (Done)
6. Tap on Upgrade Anyways. (Not an option)
7. After upgrading, tap on Finish and tap the back arrow on the upper left corner of the page to cancel the Security System Onboarding (Done)
