Cloud vs Local Storage yet again disappointment Arlo Pro 3

I have been using Arlo Pro for years and finally upgrated to Arlo Pro 3.
And what do I see?
No cloud files can be stored viewed without subscription.
Users with shared access can not see local files at all !
Thumbnails do not show for local files at all !
Local files can not be shared via samba or similar.
And I guess there is more etc. if you ask other users...
I understand a desire to force users gently to subscription option, but this seems like deliberate effort to make useful features that are available in cheaper cameras unusable. And Arlo Pro 3 is ~$150-200 per camera !?
@Arlo what say you (before I return my cameras) ?

Legacy Arlo devices, like your Arlo Pro came with rolling 7 day cloud storage without a subscription requirement. Arlo Pro 3 requires a subscription to save content to the cloud and to gain access to the features of Arlo Smart.
Without a subscription, you will still be able to receive motion alerts and live stream content, but no content can be saved to the cloud.

Well I am not sure what you are trying to answer by your email 😞
The point being that Arlo deliberately making use of their cameras without subscription very unattractive, undeveloped features such as local storage etc. and disappoints lots of users.

Local storage still does not work correctly!? i just bought these cameras! oh wait they have not even shipped them after 4 days yet.
