During the last few power outages here in Stockton my Arlo cameras are not using battery to power cameras so floodlight turns on for me to see walking around house.
I do not have UPS battery backup for the hub, I have in my system two floodlights that still turn light on by motion, Arlo doorbell, Arlo pro3 cameras 4 connected. Cameras do not turn spot light on, I even pulled plug off bottom of camera to see if the dead power cable attached changed anything and nothing
Shouldn't floodlight still work even if base is not powered due to outage?

Normally the spotlight will only turn on automatically when the camera records at night.
It can't record anything when the hub is down, so the spotlight remains off when motion is detected.
Getting a UPS for the hub should resolve that issue. FWIW, I also recommend using that for your router/modem - that will keep the cameras running normally during outages (until the UPS battery runs out), and would keep your normal ethernet service running.
But I think getting a flashlight is probably the best solution if all you want is light.
