What could the reason be if the arlo camera captures and saves footage but it won’t allow you to view live footage ?

Try rebooting your hub. If that doesn't help, try reinserting the camera battery. Any better?

I did that . I rebooted the hub and reinstalled the cameras . I had to manually sync in the cameras which means I had to pull the battery out several times . I even switched the battery from a different camera.
I get motion notifications throughout the day and it captures footage but you still can’t view anything live. It buffers

Did you try bringing the camera closer to your hub to see if that helps? If it doesn't, use the app to go to Settings, Support and choose your camera. Scroll down to Contacts to see what official support may offer.
