It is not, though, a new suggestion.
Pro 3 cameras come with three months of "free" subscription. (Ultra cameras have a whole year.) After that you pay.
As it says in tiny print on the box:
Arlo Smart service, including cloud recording. requires paid subscription after 3 months.

You can always get at recordings by setting up local storage and using a mobile app to access them.
What is Direct Storage Access and how do I use it?
Not great, but free.
